Rhythm of Prayer

We are “The Vine.” Our name reminds us that our identity comes from Jesus. “I am the vine; you are the branches,” Jesus says in John 15:5, “if you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

Apart from anything else, therefore, we are a worshipping community. Each day of the week we aspire to bring ourselves to God. We encourage each other to pray, to hear and heed God’s Word, and to be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

We have been in the habit of holding morning prayer each weekday at 9am. During the current covid19 crisis we are restricted from doing so.

During this time we are encouraging households to invest in their own rhythms and pray in their homes.

We have developed a short resource as a liturgy and guide for our prayers.

We often use the Moravian daily readings when we pray.

We are holding a weekly prayer meeting at 7:30pm on Monday nights on zoom. The details of the meeting will be shared on our internal whatsapp and email list. Please contact us if you would like to know more.
