Mutual Blessings

Over a number of years, Mutual Blessings has been an ecumenical-focused ministry of The Vine. It existed to offer spiritually-enriching practices, using the principles of Godly Play, to people of all ages or needs, especially those who may be on the edge of the church’s ministry.

In recent times a number of the parts of Mutual Blessings have emerged as ministries in their own right, apart from The Vine. The Stories for the Soul ministry, developing Godly Play for us in care settings for older people, is one of these. You can find them at storiesforthesoul.org

The Vine continues to support this movement in one particular way: We have been given generous donations from the Church of England Diocese of Sheffield, the Sheffield Church Burgesses, and the Methodist Sheffield District. This means we can give financial support to those developing a Godly Play ministry.

The money must be used within the Diocese of Sheffield (which is South Yorkshire and the area around Goole) or the Sheffield Methodist District (which includes Retford and the Peak) but it is available for all denominations. https://www.churchofengland.org/about/dioceses
